OK. FINALLY.
We are home, and I have internet access (not that I didn’t really before, but it was too busy to really sit down and look at tumblr or write or anything).
SO.
Thursday night - left to pick up reani from work at 8:30pm, drove from there straight to Connecticut, arriving somewhere around 8am. Stopped for breakfast at the Athena Diner, which was yummy.
Friday - Lazed around her parents house for most of the day, recovering from driving. In the afternoon, we went to see Hugo, which was AMAZING AND AWESOME AND OH SO SOB-WORTHY.
Saturday - caught the train to NYC - Goddess was super excited (she’d never been on a train before). Got to NYC, saw Rockefeller Center, 5th Ave, Times Square, & Grand Central Station. Reani and I have both been to NYC a number of times, but this was all new to Goddess, so it was a lot of fun. We went to the Lego store, the Nintendo Store, Toys R Us and a few other places before finally getting to Eamonn’s.
Okay - fangirl moment - EEEEEEEE SHIMMY HUGGED ME AND I WILL HAVE TO NEVER WASH MY JEANS AND BEATLES SHIRT AGAIN AAAAHHHHH. /fangirling
It was so awesome to see everyone in person and to put a face with a tumblr name and it was so much fun to meet new people I hadn’t been following or only knew of through reblogs, and it was so so so awesome and autumnyte deserves some sort of super awesome award for all her work to get it put together, even with all the hiccups from the hotel and such at the last minute. /breathes
Sunday - We went to the Maritime Aquarium in Norfolk with reani’s sister and niece and got to see sharks and touch rays, and see meerkats and seals and other fun things. It was awesome. :D Then, her nephews are huge Giants fans, so of course we had a superbowl party with them, Reani and I rooted for the Patriots because my uncle is a Patriots fan, and it was a good game, and the half-time show was really fun.
Monday - we got up, packed the car, went to Chips with Reani’s mom for breakfast and then drove home. Got back around 9ish, unpacked the car, flopped into bed.
Today - I am SO SORE. Called out of work. x.x
I’m pretty sure I’m in love. <3 *swoons*
